Rupert Burdett graduated from Camberwell college of Art in 1990 with a BA Hons in metalwork and silversmithing (specialising in furniture).

On graduation he was employed at furniture designer
Andre Dubreuil´s studio. Rupert started making his own work, producing one off commissions for interior designers and private clients, exhibiting also at Gallery Mougin in Paris.

After returning to London he joined the Six Smiths Metal Furniture group and exhibited as part of New Designers in Business. This led to group exhibitions at the Wolff Olins building, Bonham´s London and ICFF in New York.

After re-training as a cabinetmaker he then started his own business working on a variety of projects, from bespoke freestanding furniture to large interior installations.

The Collect project marks a progression from predominately bespoke commissioned work to products based on particular concepts, utilising the experience and skills acquired from twenty years of designing and making.
